If you live in North American or Europe, gaining access to Free Wi-Fi on public places or cafe is very common, but in some parts of the country like Japan , free Wi-Fi is still not available for the people and specially tourist who rely mostly on the free internet to explore the city. From today , it will not be problem in Japan, Tourist can easily get access to free Wi-Fi in the city. A new program has been launched by Japans largest telecom service NTT , which will help tourist to hunt for Free Wi-Fi access in the city. Travelers can now present their passport at Japan international airport and register for a free Wi-Fi card that serves as a Wi-Fi provider offering free Wi-Fi coverage via 45,000 hotspots in the eastern Japan area which includes Tokyo , Hakone , Mt. Fuji, Yokohama, Nagano, Nikko, Kusatsu, Tohoku, Hokkaido and Fukushima. Now Japan can be called as the Tourist friendly place offering free Wi-Fi access to the travelers.

iOS and
Android version of ( NAVITIME For Japan Travelers ) app on their devices to get ID and Password beforehand . This app shows travelers a street view style image of the location where Wi-Fi hotspot is located. The free internet is not unlimited however the access last only for 14 days which is 336 hours which is enough to offer travelers significant amount of time to explore nearby places. If travelers are planning for a long stay, in that case 14 days access is limited but 366 hours can be utilized in a good way which can be expanded to 30 days based on the usage.
This is a huge news for Japan because many tourist who travel to Japan face a big problem of internet, this new program will help travelers more than they could think and it might attract more tourist to the city.
