Google is Developing Critical-Disease Detecting Ingestible Pill

Google ingestible pill

Google is currently working on a new technology which can be used to diagnose Cancer, imminent heart attack and many other critical conditions before they could even happen. Google is trying to make an ingestible pill that will contain disease-detecting nanoparticles which will be able to travel in the bloodstream to detect abnormal cells that can lead to life-threatening diseases. This Google ingestible pill was revealed by Andrew Conrad, who is the head of life and science at Google X. Andrew Conrad says that, nanoparticles will be digested in the body and will combine a magnetic material with proteins or antibodies that will be able to detect other molecules inside the body.

Along with the Google ingestible pill, they are also working on a magnetic wristband that would be used to concentrate these nanoparticles in one place temporarily. After concentrating, they will be to know the statistics of the body from them using light or radio waves.

The amazing thing is that, this new technology will be able to identify cancer cells at a much earlier stage comparing to what is currently possible. This Health care technology is not the first time Google is doing something in Health care department. The search Giant has already developed a contact lens that can track glucose levels of a diabetes patient. The lens contains a glucose sensor, capacitor, antenna along a chip that takes glucose readings and shows it up on a monitor using radio frequencies.
