If you remember from an earlier rumor that claimed that
Qualcomm might be working on a modified version of Snapdragon 810 chipset specifically
for Samsung to solve its overheating issue. Well, according to a report from
Korea LG didn’t like this move and might even sue Qualcomm if they will provide a modified version of Snapdragon 810 chipset to Samsung. Interesting part is
that, as claimed by a rumor LG didn’t face any kind of overheating issue with
the regular Snapdragon 810 and is still against the decision. However, it does
make sense to some extent as the current LG G Flex 2 is running the regular
Snapdragon 810, so if Samsung gets a modified version this can lead to playing
favorites.
We should keep in mind that all this comes from different
rumors and nothing is official, so there is a good chance that all this didn’t
even happen. Samsung is also using its Exynos chipset instead of Snapdragon 810
and a rumor suggests it's not because of the overheating issue but to promote
their chipset.
