Instagram Created A Milestone Of 100 Million Users

Instagram – a very popular photo sharing application on Android and iTunes has surpassed 100 million active users today as confirmed by the company. The Facebook-owned application , despite of all the controversial terms and negative publicity , it has crossed a milestone which is huge. Twitter in past 6 years was successful in gaining 200 million users but Instagram has shown massive results in just two and a half years. The company just created a milestone after its began releasing its active user number for the first time. Company released this new feature after the wake of a rumor that the company is loosing users.

The Company CEO Kevin Systrom said in the company’s blog that “ “It’s easy to see this as an accomplishment for a company, but I think the truth is that it’s an accomplishment for our community”. He said that day by day people are using Instagram to capture real time photographs and its fun and fast interface lets them quickly apply any kind of a filter to their image and send it to their friends very fast.
It’s a free application available on iTunes and Android but not on iPad.
