Pope Francis - Jorge Mario Bergoglio Hired Social Media Intern

Social Media has become so much powerful nowadays that even the high official and political leaders are conducting their messages and campaigns through social media. Recently elected Benedict XVI’s successor Pope Francis has hired a social media intern from Villanova University in Pennsylvania for maintaining the Official Pope Francis account on Twitter. The lucky intern Sean Hudgins , is a communications major with a focus in public relations along with monitoring Twitter for fake accounts. He also manages News.Va an English language Facebook page with the help of his friend Danielle MocMonagle.

Hudgins has not written anything or tweeted from the @Pontifex account , But he said that he will be doing later when Pope Francis gets a little more indulge in the environment. The account was reactivated which means that Pope Francis will have tweets for public. He will be a tweeting pope. According to Hudgins , Pope Francis is a people person which means he will in touch with the people and social media is the best way to connect. The last Pope Benedict was not among the people’s favorite because of his limited interaction with the public. So Hudgins hopes that Pope Francis will completely utilize the advantage of social media.

The previous tweets from this account will be removed as to avoid confusion between the two Popes because of different ideology. New Pope new tweets but the account will remain the same.
