Amazon Entering In The Gaming World , Acquired Video Game Studio Double Helix Games

AMAZON – Biggest online retailer,is now moving towards a new strategy this year. The e-commerce giant is moving towards the gaming industry and has acquired a California-based video gaming studio ‘ Double Helix Games’. This news was leaked when Amazon invited media websites to cover-up the recruiting event from Amazon and Double Helix Games taking place in Los Angeles on February 13th. The official statement provided to TechCrunch by Amazon states, “Amazon has acquired Double Helix as part of our ongoing commitment to build innovative games for customers”. Double Helix Games studio is a merger of two well-known game development shops named ad The Collective Inc and The Shiny Entertainment. The game studio currently holds 75 employees which will be working now with Amazon.



Recently, it was rumored that Amazon is making its own gaming console in the coming year which will directly compete with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
