Landline Phones Are About To Extinct With The Rise Of Smartphones

Landline phones are barely used nowadays, since when the smartphones have entered in the market, Landline phones are seen as an old school medium of communication. Since the last 10 years , Landline phones have seen a drastic downfall and smartphones have seen a big increase in their usage. Landline phone are now only limited to offices or business otherwise in homes they are not used anymore. As of me , why would i buy a landline phone for which i have to pay $40 a month for unlimited calls only, on the other hand if i buy a smartphone  for $100 with $40 monthly plan, i would have a lot to deal with. I can send unlimited messages, use internet, calls, portability of moving anywhere around the world and much more. You all would know that nowadays, life without smartphone is like living in an stone age. With the advent of smartphone, life has completely changed. In USA, According to the data provided by the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, landline phone are gradually losing their relevance int he market.

Landline Phone Are About To Extinct With The Rise Of Smartphones

Since 2004, the landline phone usage has been dropped from 92 percent to 58 percent and the usage of smartphone has increased from 5 to 39 percent. If you see at the evolution of cell phones from 1973 - 2013, there were numerous phases where the communication medium was shifted from big bulky phone to slim and fast smartphone. Since then, it is improving and advancing more and more, and now in 2014 we are here with the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 ( which is about to come) , iPhone 5S , and Nexus, HTC One M8 and much more. In the future, there will be much more. So what do you think guys, will landline phones come up with some creative technology to boost their presence or it will gonna extinct like dodo.
