Windows 8.1 Market Share Saw Rise

Windows 8.1 the latest operating system from Microsoft and a revamped version of Windows 8 has gained some great points in market share. According to the latest market share report from Net Applications, Windows 8.1 grows slowly while Windows 8 remains down. According to the reports, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8 both gained 0.40 points combined from 12.24 percent to 12.64 percent, where Windows 8.1 achieved 0.47 points (from 5.88 percent to 8.35 percent )  and Windows 8 slipped 0.7 points ( from 6.36 percent to 6.39 percent ), so altogether their combined ratio made them in the gained category. On the other hand , Windows 7 gained back its previous position of 50 percent mark and Windows XP reached 25 percent. Among all the Windows operating systems , Windows 7 is going the best in the market.

Windows 8.1 market shared gained

Windows 8 which gained some points only in August last year of about 2.01 percentage points is going down since then and received its biggest loss in November of about 0.87 percentage. Talking about the previous versions of Microsoft Operating systems, Windows Vista gained 0.01 percentage points from 2.89 percent to 2.90 , whereas Windows XP reduced 1.02 percentage points from 26.29 to 25.27. The ups and downs of Microsoft operating system market share points is very common. In 2013, Windows lost shares every month except for March, July and November. In 2014 , Windows Operating system market share points dropped in January and April and raised in February and March and now again gained in May.
