Lenovo is entering the fitness wearable market quietly with
its new Lenovo Smartband SW-B100
which has now made to their website after being spotted in an FCC filing. This
device can track your sleep patterns along with exercise routine such as heart
rate, calories burnt and steps/distance covered. It will also make a graph of your activity
and show that data over daily, weekly and monthly graph. Furthermore, you can
also pair the device with your smartphone to show SMS, call, and exercise
reminders, appointment alerts or alarms. Though you might think these
Health-related features and notification are common stuff and all fitness wearable
can do that but it is not just limited to this. Apart from able function as a smart
clock it can also auto-lock/unlock your PC without you having to enter passwords
manually.
With its new fitness Smartband Lenovo is targeting youth as the
product description says "The Lenovo Smartband is for young people who
take care of their personal health and are interested in new tech trend
products".
Lenovo Smartband
SW-B100 will only sync with Android devices running Android 4.3 and above and
for Apple devices iOS 7.1 and above along with windows 8 devices. The wearable
will also come in grey and blue color. However, we still don’t know the release
date, pricing and the regions where it will be available.
