Major Update to Nest Learning Thermostat Making it Smarter

Nest Learning Thermostat

For Nest Learning Thermostat Google is launching a major update that involves learning and adjusting temperature according to the user’s habits. For all Wi-Fi connected Nest Thermostats the update 4.3 will be released in coming weeks. With the new update, it will work with schedule change faster and with this refine Auto-Schedule feature people will be able to save up to 6% on heating and cooling bills. Furthermore, Google is also adding the ease of checking time and temperature outside quickly on the thermostat. To do this, they can just push the ring once and all information will be displayed. After opening this information, they can just turn the ring to see the total energy they consumed previous day and see the schedule of the current day.

Though all this information is not new, you were also able to see many of this information before, but it has been made simpler, you don’t need to dig in to menus and settings anymore. Another major addition is a System Test, which will help users solve issues by going through some basic functions and will also make sure that heating and cooling system is working perfectly.

To see if you have gotten the latest version of Nest, just push the dial and a Quick view information mentioned above will be shown, if it is missing then just check again after a few days.
