Gartner: Samsung having issue keeping up as a leader in Smartphone manufacturing industry

Samsung

According to Gartner’s latest stats total smartphone sales have been increased to 20% that also lead to 25% decrease in feature phone sales which is quite obvious. This growth in Smartphone sales leads to Xiaomi joining the Top 5 Smartphone vendors list while kicking out LG. It is very important to understand these numbers to know where companies are heading. Samsung is still the Top smartphone seller in the world with the largest share in the market with a total of 24.4%. However, Samsung also lost 8% of total Smartphone market, compared to previous reports.

By the look of it, it seems Samsung is being crushed from all sides. After having amazing success of Galaxy S line, it seems Samsung might have to back up a bit. As other companies like Xiaomi and Huawei are making almost same phones with same hardware and also selling at quite a cheap rate comparing to Samsung. Along with these issues, Apple also now directly competes against Samsung with its new Phablet iPhone 6 Plus. Phablets have always been a Samsung’s thing and it is its original idea. Due to all of this Samsung is currently having issues handling everything. This could be the main reason why Samsung’s executives and CEO had a pay cut in the salaries. Now that everyone is gripping down Samsung, we still don’t know how Samsung will respond.
