Lollipop isn’t affecting Usage number of Android

Android Usage statistics

Android 5.0 Lollipop is now being rolled out to devices all over the World. So you must be thinking how much this new impressive system would be affecting the total usage number of Android? Well to make things simple, it’s is not making much. The latest Android Usage statistics have been released by Google, and Lollipop is not even registered in the list, which means that less than 0.1% have gone for the new software.  But we should not be surprised as there haven’t been much time since Lollipop upgrade and devices supporting the system have been issued. So it will take some time for the new OS to take effect and make some dent in the usage number.

Now the question remains, how other Android softwares are doing? Well, KitKat is still the supreme here as you might have guessed with the largest share of 33.9%. The other older versions are also going down in use, which means the owners of phones and tablets are moving towards recent software. However, we still don’t know if KitKat has reached its limit or it will go up more. But one thing is for sure, with the expected updates of Lollipop KitKat won’t be going up like this much longer.
