The Google Translate has been updated for both iOS and
Android. The update includes improved real-time conversation translation and
Word Lens for instant Translation. It is now even easier to translate a foreign
language as you can just use the camera of your phone to instantly translate
the text. The working is quite simple, just turn the camera on and point it
towards the text or a sign in a foreign language, you will see the translated
text on your phone’s screen. This instant translation can be quite helpful if
you are in a foreign country and would like to read signs or Restaurant menu in
your own language. The Interesting thing is, it ddoesn'teven need an internet
connection for working.
Currently, the application supports English to and from
German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Portuguese. The Company is also
planning on adding more languages in the near future. Apart from this, Google
also updated real-time conversation translation, so now its flow will be faster
and make it feel more natural. You can go to Google store or Apple store to get
the latest version of the app.
