Every Apple user knows about Siri, known as the user’s personal assistant and knowledge narrator. Siri was designed by Apple to help users use iPhone without touching it. Siri uses simple but natural language interface which answer any question. Siri was first made by the Siri Inc and was later bought by Apple in 2008. Since Lumia has come under Microsoft’s umbrella, it has seen many improvements. Like Siri, Microsoft has launched a voice assistant which soon will be coming on iOS and Android. It took a while for Microsoft to join the battle with Google and Apple, but they have learned from mistakes of Apple and Google.
Microsoft is about to launch its new voice assistant named Cortana, codename “Einstein”. Cortana will be coming in Microsoft’s next Windows 10 and will also support Android and iOS. Let’s not jump to excitement because rumors are that Cortana will not perform completely on Android and iOS as the Windows edition. Microsoft has taken a big step by developing and releasing a competition for Android and Apple. We can always expect good from Microsoft because Lumia has also seen some serious improvements while they are working under the Microsoft’s hood. The results are yet to be seen in the future, only time will tell how Cortana will indulge in the competition.
