OnePlus And Cyanogen Partnership Ended

When OnePlus planned to launch smartphone it selected Cyanogen as its software program provider. Initially, the connection was off to some good begin but late last yr we started seeing some problems. It grew to become obvious once OnePlus announced that it's going to begin developing its personal software for its smartphone and discontinue using Cyanogen. Speaking at a convention in Beijing, Cyanogen’s Kirt McMaster and Steve Kondik have confirmed that their company’s partnership with OnePlus has ended.

Kondik says that Cyanogen and OnePlus basically had various objectives for its customized Android OS which explains why they cannot carry on to work together. Cyanogen is currently heading to operate with other components vendors to bring its customized Android OS into the mainstream market.

Issues received truly bad last yr once the OnePlus One was launched in India but it couldn’t ship with Cyanogen’s software because it already experienced an exclusivity arrangement with nearby manufacturer MicroMax. This led to a brief ban on OnePlus One’s revenue in the nation.

Later OnePlus released the OxygenOS for OnePlus which bumped up the device to Lollipop. It attempted its best to provide a vanilla Android encounter but it was no CyanogenMod, and users would have definitely felt that difference.

Cyanogen has not however named any producers that may be willing to operate with it and delivers its custom Android OS to market.
