Nexus 5 Production has been stopped, confirmed by Google

Nexus 5 Production

Few days back, it was found that both white and red versions of Nexus 5 were not available for purchase from Google Play store and only black version could be purchased. It was believed that these versions are missing because of less stock and will be stocked again. However, now it has been confirmed by Google that they have officially stopped production of Nexus 5 units. This means that both Red and White version will not be coming back in store as there is no stock. Although, the Black version was still available until today, but now both 32GB and 16GB are out of stock in Play Store. So as the production of Nexus 5 has stopped, the black version will also not be making back to the Play Store.

This doesn’t mean you will not able to purchase Nexus 5 anymore. There are still many third-party retailers and resellers who will definitely have a stock in hand. So if you really do want to buy a Nexus 5 you can just search for it and you will surely be able to get it. However, you should be quick as Nexus 5 production has been ceased so any inventory there will also dry out soon.
