Twitter Added Suspicious Login Notification And SMS Password Reset For Better Protection

Twitter social networking giant is introducing two new security features on its website that will allow users to secure their account more easily and safely. No more worries now if your account is hacked and you have already enabled the two factor SMS password reset option. Twitter has now added a new SMS password reset option which will allow users to get back their twitter account fast using your smartphone. A new notification system is also embedded which will notify you if any suspicious login attack has happened on your account which is not in your knowledge. The new suspicious login notification system will notify the original account holder via email , if any unknown person login to their account. Twitter will now keep a record of your device , login location , login history and if someone tries to login your account with some other device , twitter will ask security questions to make sure you are original account owner and will send you email as soon as your account is accessed by some other machine or device. If you find someone suspicious, you can reset your password quickly. This thing is perfect for people who use same passwords on multiples sites and when any one of the site is compromised , other sites also gets in danger. So no more worries from now, as twitter has appointed an invisible security guard to protect your Twitter account.

From now on , you can add your cell phone number and working email address for better protection of your Twitter account. If someone forgets his or her Twitter account password, they can easily reset the Password with the new SMS reset option, which will send a six digit code on your smartphone which will be valid for 15 days. That six digit code can be used to reset your password. Same scenario works on email as well. This feature is same which Google has enabled in gmail since 2006.
