Samsung Z1 Tizen is now official

Samsung Z1

There have been many rumors about Samsung working on a Tizen-based Smartphone dubbed Samsung Z1. This phone will be one of quite a few phones by Samsung that will not depend on Android. This phone is also one of the ways to reduce Samsung’s reliance on Google. Well, there is good news for people who were waiting for this Smartphone as Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Z1 Tizen smartphone. Currently the Smartphone is launched in India, but there is no report of them making it available in other parts of the World.

So what this new smartphone packs? It will come with 4-inch WVGA display and powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It will also feature 768MB of RAM, a 1,500mAh battery, 4GB of storage, which can be expanded via microSD, and will be available for 5,7000 Indian rupees  (about $90). Yes, it is not the most impressive smartphone by Samsung or pretty much any OEM. However, as it is launched in India only this means Samsung is going for emerging markets and wants them to use a different platform from Android.
