On 17th April, Google fiber teams were found in Provo,Utah where they were planning to introduce their Google Fiber service in the city. Provo, Utah will be the third city to get Google fiber after Kansas City and Austin. Google fiber provides 100 times faster internet than the ordinary Wi-Fi internet to homes with great offers. One of the main reasons to chose Provo,Utah as the third city to get Google fiber is its home to the hundreds of Tech Companies and Startups. It is ranked second in the nation in patent growth and one of the best places to do business in US. Running Google fiber internet in the Tech companies and other business will lead Google as the top internet service provider because majority of the work performed in the companies is through internet, If the internet is superfast and consistent the results will be more fast and efficient. Google fiber is an experimental broadband internet which runs on Fiber-Optic communication. Fiber Optic is a media that uses light to send data which is much faster than ordinary DSL. Google Fiber internet offers the speed up to 1 GB which is 100x faster than the ordinary internet. Google fiber also offer Fiber TV service which allows you to watch all the shows in HD and record up to eight of the shows at once up to 500 hours of HD video in the cloud which means it can be watched over several devices like Smartphones and Tablets. Google Fiber offers $70/month for 1Gb speed ( $300 construction fee waived) and free 5MB of internet with $300 construction fee only. For Fiber TV they offer $120/ month ( $300 construction fee waved ).
The Google Fiber deal is still not confirmed as Google fiber said in the blog that company has signed an agreement to buy iProvo , an existing fiber-optic network owned by Provo City . The city has not yet disclosed their official decision as they ware waiting for vote results organized by City Council . If it’s approved Google said , it will upgrade their network to Gigabit technology and finish their network construction as soon as possible.
