Amazon Introduced In-App Shopping Feature For Mobile Users

Amazon has recently introduced a unique way of shopping from with-in mobile applications which will allows users to shop for goods through their mobile applications. The process will work very simple. Software application developers will now create applications that will sell products from Amazon either inside the application or by linking the application to Amazon website. If any customers buys a product though that application, the developer of that applications will receive 6% of commission from the online retailer. Software developers will now create different varieties of applications such as games, sports, weather or other apps that will redirect to a specific type of good which is related to that application.

If a developer made a nutrition or fitness applications so the app can offer customers the ability to buy vitamins, supplements and fitness gear with-in the application. This is a great way of marketing products which Amazon has launched. Customers can buy digital goods as well such as game features and magazines via in-app purchasing. Eric Hautemont, CEO of Los Altos , California-based days of Wonder said ,
The Physical and digital version of the games are complementary, when the company released the iPad version of “Ticket to Ride” , sales of the board game jumped to 30% and when the iPhone version came out the sales jumped another 30%.
The ability to add-in app purchasing for digital content was already given by Amazon in April 2012, Some of its participants were Apple, Google, Walt Disney, Conde Nast , Gameloft SE and Dow Jones &Co. This is great feature introduced by Amazon which will boost the sales of Amazon products and a handsome amount of commission for application developers.
