Spam callers are every where, by mistake if you leave your phone number on some forum website or other source , some people catch-up your number and keep calling you for no reason. Some times survey takers also keep trying to reach you to take your feedback which is irritating when you have busy schedule. The new iOS 7 has came up with a great solution , which allows you to block a particular number from calling or texting without the assistance of your cell phone carrier. This convenience was not available in any of the previous versions of iOS. You can simply block particular a number from texting , calling and Facetime session by following the easy steps described below.
- Blocking a particular number is possible in iOS 7 in two ways , through your contacts list or through the Settings option.
- To block some through contact list, simply open the contact list .
- Select the contact which is to be blocked , and open the contact card for that particular number.
- Scroll down at the bottom of the contact card and tap block this caller.
- If you want to edit your blocked contact list , simply go to settings.
- Then go to either Phone, messages or Facetime settings.
- Scroll down to the Blocked option , from there you can add or remove the contact you want to block.
After blocking someone , they wont be able to call you , send you the text or start the Facetime conversation with you. You cannot block some from either texting or calling , If you select to block someone, they will be blocked completely from calling or texting.
