How To Share Files Using AirDrop On iOS 7 – Tips And Tricks

If you have used the Mac OS X Lion then you might have experienced the AirDrop feature, which allows you to share the files on the other Mac using internet. The Airdrop feature is now available in iOS 7 which makes the file sharing very easy. If you want to share a photo or a document from your mobile device to your friends mobile , you can simply do that using AirDrop feature in iOS 7. iPhone ,iPod touch and iPad users running iOS 7 can now experience the AirDrop fun.  In this article , we will share with you how to share files using AirDrop in iOS 7.

  1. First make sure that both the phones should have AirDrop On in order to make the connection of file sharing.
  2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center , and select the AirDrop.
  3. After selecting AirDrop , it will ask you to share with “ Contacts Only “ or “Everyone”.
  4. If the person you are sharing with is in your contact list , so simple select contacts. If he is not , then select everyone.
  5. Now open the app that supports sharing via AirDrop . For example , take photo app. Open a particular photo you want to share.
  6. Now select the Square shaped share button located at the left bottom on the screen.
  7. After opening the share button , you will see that contact highlighted , under the AirDrop option.( Make sure the other person has switched on his/her device ).
  8. Simply tap the contact and the other person will receive a message of acceptance for that shared file.
The AirDrop feature is very fast and convenient in file sharing which works over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but not on cellular data network. With AirDrop feature you can share photos, videos , web, pages , map directions and more. The AirDrop feature does not work on all iOS 7 devices , it works only with iPhone 5 and newer, 5th generation iPod touch and 4th generation iPad and iPad Mini.
