Twitter Debuts On New York Stock Exchange For $45 Per Share 73% More From IPO Price

Today, New York Stock Exchange is reporting a big news of opening Twitter Share for $45 which is 73% more from the IPO price. The demand for Twitter share was huge as reported by Reuters. The public offering price for the share was set at $26 on Wednesday , but then the demand reaches too high and after adding all the gains the stock price hit almost $50 . Sources said the flotation had drawn strong demand, with investors asking for 30 times the number of shares on offer as they bet on potential growth at the money-losing social media company. The downside of the huge demand is the belief that Twitter may have left money on the table. In other words, the company could have priced its IPO higher or offered more shares to raise more money. Twitter opening day was a big challenge for facebook which opened at $38 in May 2012 and closed at $ 38.23 , rising only $0.23. If you compare this with twitter which opened at $45 and hit $50 , The micro blogging network has gained a tremendous demand.
