After Twitter Now Comes YouTube Ban In Turkey

You all would be familiar about the news of twitter ban in Turkey, now YouTube is on the turn. Turkish government today has blocked the YouTube access in Turkey at DNS level. The reason was somewhat same, according to Reuters, the leaked recordings of a security meeting were published on YouTube by some anonymous user. For now , the only action which Turkish government took was to block the access to the service but government may lift up the ban if YouTube agrees to remove those official recording meeting videos.The video was an an audio recording of a meeting with Turkey's intelligence chief, the foreign minister and the deputy head of the armed forces to discuss potential military operations against Syria. This is not the first time happening with YouTube in Turkey, back in 2007 also the service was banned in Turkey after videos insulting the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk were posted to the site. No response from YouTube has came yet about the removal of those videos, which might move the Ban to the IP level. Well social media lovers in turkey would be facing a hard time, who might know their next target would be Facebook.
