WhatsApp User Value Rounded Off To $42 Per User Which Facebook Paid For

The recent acquisition of Whatsapp by Facebook which settled down for $19 billion was a big offer for whatsapp team but if you do math and divide the amount offered with the number of user-base which is around 450 million, it will come around $42 per user which Facebook paid for. What do you think, was it a bargain? Well , considering the vast amount of whatsapp user base , $19 billion doesn't seem much anymore. If you look back at the trends of Whatsapp user-base you will see a huge increase in the number of active users since April 2013. It is assumed that it will increase more in the coming years. If it is 450 million today, it will increase much more higher. Whatsapp might have demanded more considering the future of the messaging service, but $19 billion offer for a small team of Whatsapp is big. Besides this, Jan Koum the CEO and Co-founder of Whatsapp will join the Facebook board of directors. If the market capitalization and active user base are taken into account than Facebook , LinkedIn, and Twitter will be valued considerably higher. Below is the Statista Chart that describes the value per user based on market capitalization or acquisition price.
