Apple's Q2 Earnings Call 2014 - $45.6 Billion Revenue With $10.2 Billion Net Income, 43 Million iPhones Sold

Apple earnings call has arrived reporting second quarter earning with $46 Billion total revenue and $10.2 Billion net income making approx $11.62 per share in stocks. The results were amazing as people were not expecting that and according to Apple's report , iPhone was sold the most with 43 million pieces sold around the world. Compared to last year earnings calender, Apple sold 6.3 million more iPhone this year. Wall Street expectation were lower from Apple, but when the result was announced people were shocked to see the Apples performance in the second quarter. The revenue figure is higher than Apple’s results from the second quarter in 2013, and profits continued to rise year over year. Stock market news of the company was tremendous where Analysts  expected earnings per share of $10.19 on sales of $43.5 billion but it went higher at $11.62 per share.

Here are the device sales numbers:

  • 44 million iPhones sold, as compared to 37.4 million sold a year ago. 
  • 16 million iPads, down from 18.1 million sold a year ago. 
  • 4 million Macs, which is about the same as last year’s reported figure of 4 million Macs sold in the 2nd quarter.
According to Apple CEO Tim Cock, The rise in sales was seen in the markets outside the US, highlighting increased market share in both developing markets and emerging markets. It was observed that the sales were greater in China region , where Apple company introduced its devices recently. The rise in sales were increase from $1 Billion to $9.3 billion which is fantastic. 

iTunes revenue and Mac devices were also seen as a successful product. Besides iPad sales, every product of the company was seen with an increase. Apple company has fulfilled its promise and went successful with the strategy they decided to introduce its devices in Chinese market.
