
According to CRA, The breach was observed after the world was known Heartbleed. CRA took sudden action action to secure users information and still worried about 1000 Tax ID numbers removed from the database. Who knows those 1000 id numbers could used in a wrong way, but CRA is taking actions to prevent users information.
In an official statement, CRA told that, soon after the news about Heartbleed was exposed, it removed public access to its online services, and still the tax payer info was removed in a brief 6 hours period. Well , Agency is now in the process of contacting affected individuals and providing credit protection services at no cost.
