Samsung Galaxy S3 On Sprint Getting Android 4.4 KitKat Update

Samsung Galaxy S3 owners on Sprint would be glad to hear that they can now upgrade their smartphone to the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. Sprint announce the news on its official carrier page of the new android 4.4 kitkat update on Galaxy S3. Android Kitkat has already made its way to Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 but Galaxy S3 owners were still waiting for the OS and today finally Sprint is the first US carrier who is updating Galaxy S3 with Kitkat 4.4 OS. Sprint has not mentioned what updates android 4.4 will bring on Galaxy S3 however, new user interface and advanced features comes packed with the Android 4.4 OS.

If we talk about updates, Galaxy S3 has seen the least updates since the smartphone came in the market. The last update which Galaxy S3 received was back in November 2013, when Galaxy S3 was updated to Android Jelly bean operating system. Now after 5 months, the smartphone is getting a fresh new update.

Sprint said on its official carrier page, " Software updates may be released in stages and can take several days for delivery". Once the update hits the device , it will be prompted in the notifications that a new software update is available to download. As soon as you receive the notification, you can download the new Android kitkat OS . Samsung Galaxy S3 on T-Mobile, Verizon , AT&T and MetroPCS still have to wait for the update.
