Android KitKat Adoption Rate Increased To 8.5%

Android Kitkat operating system is seeing a great rise in the recent days and according to the new stats from Android Platform Distribution, Kitkat 4.4 adoption rate has been increased to 8.5%.  Last month the stats were approx 5.2% but this month saw a steady increase. More and more devices are been shifting to Kitkat OS 4.4 due to its high end features and new interactive User interface. Last month , Kitkat 4.4 was introduced on many devices which includes HTC, LG Sony and Samsung , so this helped android to spread its word. Still there are millions of devices which are not introduced by Android Kitkat OS.

Previous version of Android OS Jelly bean still holds a strong position in the market and currently holds around 60% share which is huge. The reason is simple, Jelly been is has been made device friendly. Android Kitkat OS is a high end operating system which need some specific requirements. Many devices are now adding those requirements and in the coming months , KitKat might over take Jelly bean in the market.

Android Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich are also ruling many devices still, where as the Android Honeycomb is seen as the least with only 0.1 percent. Android KitKat 4.4 is the future and there is a lot to come. Check out the stats above.
