Dropbox’s Carousel will help delete backup photos automatically

Dropbox Carousel

Dropbox has added a new Carousel feature that is still under testing. With the new feature Carousel will delete all backed up local photos when the storage of your devices is getting full. The new feature will help ease things up as you won’t have to worry about deleting photos, to manage space and will give you freedom to click on new photos. This move by Dropbox is not only to help people manage space, but it will also help people to understand what Carousel is and think about using it. Dropbox Carousel is advertised as "a gallery for all the photos and videos from your life”. For people who still don’t know what Carousel is, Carousel puts all photos together according to a event in chronological order and most recent one will appear on top. You can also search according to time line and jump from months or years.

The new feature is still being tested and only small number of users is using this feature and will not be available widely. It is good to note that the feature came right after Dropbox added Web apps and iPad for Carousel that was available already for Android and iPhone users. In two week a version for Android tablets will also be released.
