Google Might not be The Default Search Engine on Safari in 2015

Default Search Engine

The deal, signed in 2007 between Apple and Google about Google being Default Search engine on IOS devices will expire in the next year.  So this mean there is a possibility that in the next year Google might lose this spot as its rival companies are also trying their best to get the spot. According to a report Yahoo and Microsoft, both have contacted SVP of Apple Eddy Cue to argue that it is time Apple should change its Default browser. Yahoo and Microsoft Definitely want their search engines to be on that spot as they have less market share and Google is dominating the search with the largest number of users.

There is a good chance that Yahoo and Microsoft might be able to take out Google. Microsoft already has a sound relationship with Apple related to search. Apple’s Siri is currently using Bing as its Default search provider, and Yahoo on the other hand, made Mozilla ditch Google and use Yahoo as Default Search engine. However, this doesn’t mean users will become bound to use these services. They can always change to other search providers like Google again, so people who will still prefer can always use Google. Furthermore, there are many other factors which need to be put into consideration before making any decision. For example, Apple will have to see if they are just going to change a Search engine which is so much popular with something less popular. So we can’t say anything what will happen when the deal will end in 2015, guess we just have to wait.
