Lyft the ridesharing platform has introduced a new feature in which the driver can pick up riders that are only going in the direction in which driver is going. It is quite a good feature, because in the past driver was just shown the route of the rider when they accepted a ride. This new feature is called Driver Destination and was launched in the August and let drivers accept riders that are only going in the direction in which driver is going. With the help of this feature the driver will be able to save up to 60% on the cost of the whole trip.

The function works same way for riders, but the change is for drivers. To give an example of its use, just suppose you are a Lyft driver and are driving across town to buy some things from the store. You can now accept riders who are also going in the same direction and make some bucks without changing your route. According to Lyft with the use of this service Lyft Drivers can make up to $400 just by picking up riders on their way. This amount should be enough to cover up some small expenses like bills or maybe car maintenance. Not to mention you will also be able to interact with different people on the way.
