LG and Mercedes-Benz-USA is working together on Stereo Camera System

Autonomous cars are the future of the car industry, so most car makers are now spending more time and resources on making cars of the future. Obviously, Mercedes Benz USA will be the one who will lead the charge and is actually currently working on such task. Mercedes-Benz and LG are now working together in which LG is developing a Stereo camera system for Mercedes-Benz. Cameras are the most important part of the Autonomous car as they act as the eyes of the car. These cameras detect movements in front of the car which the driver might have missed. Autonomous cars also need to use these cameras to “see” the road and judge its behavior in case of pedestrian crossings or traffic. So the system can be connected to the brakes of the cars to stop in order to avoid any accident.

This partnership is beneficial for both the Companies. Mercedes-Benz-USA will get LG’s Technology for IT and image sensing and LG will be able to take a step in the field of Autonomous car market and establish themselves before others. As it is the market of futures, so after a few years, this could be a huge success for LG.
