When the “Like” button got introduced to Facebook, obviously
its opposite was supposed to be “Dislike” button which should have also been
introduced and many users are still asking for it. Despite their efforts and
how long it has been since “Like” button got introduced, Facebook still have to
implement it. Of course it is more appropriate to dislike a photo, status or
video which has upsetting content than actually like it. Well, there is hope as
Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg is actually considering this idea. According to
Zuckerberg, users told him in feedback that they are not comfortable pressing
“like” button in some situations.
However, it might seem easy to just toss the button in, but
it is actually more than that. According to Mark Zuckerberg, he is thinking of
taking a measured approach to first see how the button will affect the users.
At the same time, Zuckerberg also believes that giving users the ability to
disagree with something is actually quite a good idea. Of course this doesn’t
mean the “Dislike” feature will be added any time in future but still it is positive
response on Facebook’s end.
