Portuguese Company provides Wi-Fi to the city using Vehicles with Routers

If you are outside and are looking for some Public Wi-Fi you might want to go for some cafe or near Starbucks. But what will you do if any of these locations are not near. Of course you can always use your cellular data, but there is a chance it can be bit slower and might even be unavailable due to network coverage. Well, now it seems that in Porto ,a port city of Portugal a startup company just came up with an idea to provide Wi-Fi to most of the City. What they are actually doing is equipping 600 vehicles with Wi-Fi routers and vehicles are being called NetRiders. So the vehicles move around in the whole city while providing Wi-Fi to its residents.

The company has moved its Headquarters to the US now so there is a chance that this idea could move to the country too. Although, they must clear some legal/regulatory hurdles first in order to get the dice rolling. At start company is targeting cities like Austin, New York and San Francisco and after that they will go for other parts of the Country.
