To promote learning Mark Zuckerberg Just opened a virtual book club on Facebook

A Year of Books

Mark Zuckerberg the Founder of Facebook has just announced that in 2015 his challenged will be to read a new book in every two weeks. That’s not it, Zuckerberg has also created a new page “A Year of Books” so the community could also join in the journey. The members of the community are asked to read the same book as Zuckerberg along with him and also join in public discussions. He also requests that only people who have actually read the books take part in discussions and only bring relevant points to the discussion. The group will also be moderated to make sure everything stays on the topic.

The books chosen throughout the year will be related to different cultures, histories, beliefs and technologies. The first book which Zuckerberg has chosen is The End of Power by Moisés Naím. This new idea of book club seems to be quite a hit so far. Currently, this page has more than 120,000 likes and the first book chosen by Zuckerberg is now out of stock on Amazon. This new campaign is definitely a good cause Mark is working on, helping people read and learn new things will always have a good impact.
