Communication is one of the most important part of social
life – it is important to be able to convey your message to other people and
also understand what others are saying. However, we are still mostly limited to
just 2-3 languages on average when it comes to communicating with other people.
When it comes to the internet translation through machine is a good solution
for communication but not a reliable one. Now Twitter also wants to join this
machine translation revolution and is now adding a new feature to its iOS and
Android Apps being called “Tweet translation”. The new feature will be powered
by Bing Translator.
Using the new feature, people will be able to read all
tweets which are sent in foreign languages. It is quite simple to use tweet
translation – just click on the globe icon on any foreign language tweet you
receive and you will be able to see a translated version of it. Of course, it won’t
be a perfect translation as we all know that machines are not able to do that
currently. However, you will still be able to get a hint of what the other
person is trying to say.
