Apple hits record high in Smartphone Profits

Apple is one of the most successful companies with many hits on devices and gaining huge market share quite fast. Like their successful iPhone which was first released in 2007 as a fully touch screen phone and also received quite criticism but still look at it now in the form of its latest model iPhone 6. All this success leads Apple to first when it comes to profits and in the 2014 Q4 they even hit the record high. According to Strategy Analytics, the iOS of Apple sets a record high of 88.7% in global smartphone profits that is quite a lot as compared to in 2013 which was 70.5%.

When it comes to Android, it is not doing well at all. As Apple hits record high, Android just hit record low at 11.3% profit share which is a direct drop from 29.5% in 2013 Q4. Apple earned $18.8 billion in Q4 2014  which is an increase from $11.4 billion. While Android dropped to $2.4 billion from $4.8 billion compared to Q4 2013. If we see all the growth then there is a total growth of 31% in 1 year.
