Ericsson is definitely the pioneer in mobile phones and after that they focused completely on wireless networks and now they are world’s largest wireless network makers. Ericsson has recently filed 7 lawsuits in the U.S court. In the lawsuits, they want to block Apple from selling their products in the U.S. If Ericsson gets any success in this, it will be a huge blow for Apple and of course they will never be happy about it. Ericsson is accusing Apple of 41 patent infringements which will involve many methods which mobile devices use to communicate and also some related technology such as battery saving, user interface and the operating system.

Ericsson’s Chief intellectual property officer, Kasim Alfalahi said, “We have offered them a license; they have a turned it down. We’re not a company that’s planning to extract more than the value we put on the table.”
Recently both Apple and Ericsson brought each other to court over the royalties which were not renewed. They are hoping that demand of Ericsson of royalties over technology is fair and should be met.
