Huawei has revealed a new Mid-Range phone called the Ascend
Y540. However, the reveal was not much of a fanfare and there is no official
announcement either. The official announcement will be made soon and so far the
exact price of the phone hasn’t been released either. It seems that phone will
be sold in Europe with a price tag of €100 or €110. The phone is definitely for
budget oriented people who want more for less. The Ascend Y540 surely offers
more for less with some amazing specs with this cheap price tag.
So what do you actually get by spending this amount? Well, for
chipset it will be powered by Snapdragon 200 chipset with a dual-core 1.3GHz
processor, this is an improvement from 1.2GHz processor speed of its
predecessor, Huawei Ascend Y530. The RAM
is also doubled to 1GB so you should expect some big improvement in
performance. The device will be running Android 4.4 KitKat and will come with
dual-SIM option. A 1950mAh battery will be powering it, enough to get it
through the day.
