Nokia Partnering With Samsung To Bring HERE Maps On Galaxy Smartphones

Nokia and Samsung partnership seems like coming from some outer world but this collaboration is taking place for real. Nokia is partnering with Samsung to bring its Offline HERE maps on Galaxy smartphones. The news was announced in a blog post where both companies decided to work on something interesting which is "HERE Maps". If you are a windows phone user then your might have used the free app. These maps are somewhat similar to Google Maps but one of the feature which makes Here Maps unique is its robust offline navigation. Users can navigate Here Maps offline easily without being worried about internet connection.

HERE Maps covers full map functionality without the internet connection and users location can still be found using GPS. It downloads the entire countries and region maps in a short period of time and allows you to search for places without using internet. When you have your Maps stored on your phone , they are instantly available without any lag. 

When you search for a place with HERE Maps, it gives you option to drive , walk or take public transport same as Google Maps, you can adjust the best route according to your taste, for example if you are travelling on a long route and your want to take a car , you can exclude all toll roads and opt for the best and easy route.

If you are online with HERE Maps, you can get more advanced features like live traffic updates,Transit schedules, share places with friends and family, save your favorite destinations and much more. The free app includes 200 countries maps with drive and walk guidance in almost 100 of those countries, real time traffic updates in more than 40 countries and transit maps and directions is more than 750 urban areas across 40 countries.

Nokia is planning to bring in some more new features in HERE maps in the coming months, so the partnership between Samsung and Nokia would set some new records.
