LG Developing Worlds First Plastic OLED Display

LG - one of the biggest South Korean consumers electronics giant after covering vast ground in the LED and OLED displays is now developing a new technology that will be a game changer in the world of emerging display technology. The company is developing worlds first plastic OLED display that will take action in upcoming LG G Watch R . There are many advantages of  using Plastic in the display technology one of which is the enhanced durability and prevention from unwanted screen breaking. The perfectly round and ultra slim plastic OLED display in the LG G Watch R will bring a new revolution in the wearable devices and technology. 

The upcoming LG G Watch R which will be the first wearable smart watch with P-OLED will sport a diameter of 1.3" perfectly round with full watch face. The screen area will be 57% larger than that of a square display smartwatch of the same size. The screen will feature 320 x 320 pixel resolution capable of realizing 100 percent color gamut, 300 nit peak luminance and unlimited contrast ratio to enhance user satisfaction. The display will be made very thin so that it can be easily optimized for wearable devices.
