Facebook Gave More Control over News Feed with This New Update

Facebook News feed
Now with this new Facebook News feed update you are able to follow or un-follow any pages, people or groups. This will provide more control over news feed as you will be able to hide or see according to your desire more easily. Now there will be a list of pages, groups and people in news feed settings, which you have seen the most in the past week. There you will have an option to un-follow the one about which you don’t want to be updated about. Furthermore, you will also have an option to hide a particular post, though it already exists, but now you will be asked to see less about it. If you are not interested in a particular story, you can click the gray arrow on top right corner to hide the story. You will be asked to see less from that specific page or person and you will also have the option to un-follow that person or page in that area if you choose to see less.

Everything that you have un-followed will leave a history, meaning, all changes are not permanent. You can just go and see in the news feed which pages or people you have un-followed and can follow them again. This news feed update is available on both Mobile and desktop right now. Additionally, with the new update you will now also be able to provide feedback about the news feed, though it is still available only for Desktop, mobile user will have to wait for some weeks.
