After giving people the worlds best social networking platform , Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg wants to try something more productive on Facebook. He wants to give users a place where they can read latest news from all over the world and can save it for later. Zukerberg wants you to spend more time on Facebook. CEO Mark Zukerberg has always been creative since the beginning of the introduction of Facebook , Back in the days , when facebook was launched , the only purpose of the social giant was to communicate with the people. After , Facebook was more enhanced with cool features like applications , Games, Photo and Video sharing, Status updates and many more. Now this time , Mark Zukerberg wants to give people the “Best Personalized Newspaper in the world”.
The company is testing a feature that would allow users to save links shared inside Facebook to a list for later reading, according to recently surfaced mobile screenshots. The functionality is quite similar to the popular apps Pocket and Instapaper. When the users will see a news or any link shared on thier news feed, they can simply click on the bookmark icon at right side of the link to save it for later reading. All the saved links and news will be installed in the new Saved Menu available in the Apps Menu. The implementation is quite simple. For now , this feature is only in the testing stage and visible to only a small fraction of users. If the feature received good appreciation ,Facebook might roll out the “Save for Later “ feature publicly.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said at an event earlier this year,
“We want to give everyone in the world the best personalized newspaper in the world,”
Facebook would be a great destination for media content and latest news published by the authors. The advantage of this feature will result in better engagement of the content and articles posted by the writers. Users who are too busy to read the news can bookmark to save it for later reading just by simply clicking on the bookmark icon. We are not sure that how many users are experiencing this feature, If any lucky user has got this opportunity to test the feature , share your views about the feature in the comments below. We will keep you updated if we receive any more updates from Facebook.
