Japan wants to boost its Robot Technology

robot manufacturers

In the past, Japan was the leader in the world when it comes to robotic technology. But today, it seems that they are losing their grip as other countries are progressing in the same field and these robot manufacturers are even surpassing Japan. To prevent losing the market and this advantage over other countries, the Japanese government is making a huge investment in this sector to keep an edge in this industry over other countries. Japan’s first emo robot in the world named Pepper is a good example of this attempt. This new robot is a large leap when it comes to artificial intelligence, Pepper is capable of reading facial expressions, body and voice tone to come up with a right response according to these factors. Pepper will be seen functioning in a mobile phone store in Omotosando which is an upmarket shopping district located in Tokyo.

The Pepper is of total 120 centimeters height and is designed in a cute way with puppy dog eyes. The Robot will be sold next year for a retail price of $2000 and is considered to be a household Robot that can do many things related to it. Japanese Government and industry have some huge plans for robots such as Pepper and other robots like it. A total of 30 million of such robots manufacturing, it seems Japan is definitely transforming to become the Top robot manufacturer in the world.
