Mozilla has been quite fast about changing its Default search
engine provider to Yahoo. For the first time in many years, Google has been
replaced by Yahoo with Firefox 34 update. Though it is still limited to North
America, but it means it will soon be applied everywhere. Now North American
users will be asked to set Yahoo as their default browser when they update to
Firefox 34. Of course, users will still have the option to keep the later one
if they are more comfortable with it.
For others, with the Firefox 34 update they will get an
improved version of search bar where they would be able to search within other
third-party website like Wikipedia, Amazon or Twitter with Firefox’s latest one
click search. This new feature will help save time while searching results from
other websites. Furthermore, Mozilla’s latest Hello Chat client will also be
available in the latest version of Firefox. It’s a free service which lets the
user have video or audio calls with other people right from their browser. In
Firefox 34 Mozilla has also disabled SSL 3.0 due to the vulnerability in the
design of SSL 3.0 revealed by Google.
