Save $50 On Apple Watch When Purchased With An iPhone

When compared along with other wearables, the Apple Watch is in no way cheap. We suppose inside a way Apple wants to make a sense of luxurious and exclusivity, however this also means that there are many customers who will not have the ability to afford one. That becoming said if you’ve always needed an Apple Watch but felt it was as well costly, you are in luck.

apple watch promotion

Apple has confirmed towards the folks at MacRumors that they're starting a promotion. This deal will basically knock $50 off the price of the Apple Watch in the event you had been to buy it along with an iPhone. Ultimately this might cost you a pretty penny, but within the meantime in the event you were already planning on purchasing both, or in the event you required an excuse, this appears like a great one.

There are several points that you ought to most likely bear in mind of. For starters, this offer doesn't go with Apple watch Edition or even the Apple watch Hermes designs. However, if you could pay for these, $50 off probably doesn’t mean that a lot to you anyway. This offer is only available at Apple’s retail stores, but even then not all retail outlets are participating in it.

The participating stores consist of places in Massachusetts and California such as Burlingame, Chestnut Road, Corte Madera, Hillsdale, Stonestown and San Francisco within the Bay Region, and Boylston Street, CambridgeSide, San Francisco and Chestnut Hill in the Boston metro region. The deal is only active from 13th of Oct towards the 15 of November.

Intel Employees Rumored To Be Working On LTE Modem For iPhone 7

Apple styles its personal chipsets which resulted in the A-series of chipsets utilized in the iPhones and iPads. However you will find some components not from Apple, like the LTE modem which at the moment is made by Qualcomm. However in accordance to some report from VentureBeat, Intel now has 1000 employees that they have dedicated to making the LTE modem for the new iphone 7 which is pegged for a launch in 2016.

Now this is not the very first time we have came across these rumors. Earlier this year there were talks that Apple could move from Qualcomm to Intel for their LTE requirements for subsequent year’s apple iPhone. Evidently this modem is claimed to be able of 450Mbps down and also will support 29 LTE bands, and now with this report, it seems like issues are starting to ramp up fairly a little.

However the report also claims that Apple could end up dual-sourcing the LTE modems from both Intel and Qualcomm, which will be a fascinating move given the A9 chipsets this year which were dual-sourced from both Samsung and TSMC. This led to “chipgate”/”batterygate” exactly where TSMC’s chipset was found to have much better battery life, if only by a small margin.

Assuming there'll be discrepancies, and there most likely will, we've to question how customers will react. Nevertheless VentureBeat’s sources declare that Intel and Apple may not have a signed deal yet, but it is feasible that it will be signed quickly if Intel has the capacity to meet Apple’s standards and requirements.

iPhone 7 Will Be Thinnest iPhone Ever

You may be wondering why you are reading about the iPhone 7 even when iPhone 6S hasn’t been officially launched That’s because a recognized Apple analyst with an excellent track record has informed to investors today how the iPhone 7 will be the thinnest phone ever from Apple calculating in between 6 to 6.5 millimeters slender. This prediction emanates from popular KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who states that the phone 7 will likely be as thin as apple ipad tablet air 2 and ipod touch as each of them are 6.1 millimeters thin. Apple iPhone 6 is 6.9 millimeters slender whereas the forthcoming iPhone is predicted being around 7 millimeters due to the 7000 range aluminum that Apple company has allegedly used. This information can be taken as a grain of salt for now. Apple has an event scheduled for September 9th where the company will launch iPhone 6S and 6S plus with more surprises.

New iPhone 6S Coming Out On September 25 - Information Leaked

It appears like the next iPhone release date is out and it's right on routine as expected. A leak has exposed a not-so-shocking revelation: the apple iPhone 6S is reportedly coming out in September, much like the last 3 flagship launches. People are waiting for apple to release new iPhone.

1phone 6s

Mobile News is revealing that an email leaked towards the information firm reveals the next gen apple iPhone, presumably the apple iPhone 6S, is approaching September 25,  It ought to be said this info is coming exclusively from the Vodafone email acquired by Mobile News, but still the official note from apple company is not yet published.

The report states that the handset is rumored to boast Force touch, and is explained as the "New apple iPhone," that is most likely a level of secrecy within the e-mail and never the actual title of the gadget. There wasn't any info on whether or not a follow-up design to the larger screened iPhone 6 could be made available.

In addition to Force Touch, the iPhone 6S is rumored to function the sapphire glass screens that skipped the cut on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, also as an upgraded camera. If this report is true, all of our concerns will probably be answered when September comes near.

Tether Unlocks Mac When Your iPhone Is Near

tether

An app named Tether can lock your mac when you walk away and unlocks when you are near. Intriguing, isn't it? Security is what a user needs for his tech devices and this app has gathered attention of users in no time. Let’s head over to details of the app. Our devices should be protected with maximum security because we certainly don’t want our devices to be accessed by someone else for the sake of privacy. We spend a lot of time and money on keeping our data safe, but we forget about the most basic protection that we need.

Nowadays Apple and Samsung devices now use the fingerprint scanner because very fewer people use passcodes. Our computer and desktops, even they have usernames and passwords but after the release of Tether there is no need for username and passwords. Tether works on Bluetooth 4.0 which saves energy and battery time of your iPhone unlike apps working on Wi-Fi. Tether secures your privacy and also increase your workflow because when you return Tether automatically types in your username and password for you. The coolest thing about Tether that it is for free and the UK firm that developed Tether made it available to download for everyone. You need an app on iPhone and Tether companion running on Mac to use it.

The duration of iPhone 5 Battery Program has been extended

When IPhone 5 was release some of its units had defective batteries, although the percentage of defective units was quite less. The batteries use to drain quite fast if you compare it to other units thus leading to charging them more often. To address this issue, Apple launched an iPhone 5 Battery Program last year in which people could get a new battery who had affected phones. In this program, the total duration which was set is 2 years when the phone was bought meaning by 1st march this year it is supposed to expire. However, now it seems that the duration of the program has been extended by Apple to 16 of January, almost a year.

iPhone 5

This is good news for people who had affected phone but still didn’t manage or didn’t know to get new batteries. If your phone is affected and you also bought it at a later date then you have almost a year to get a new battery. If you don’t know if your iPhone 5 battery is affected or not, you can just visit Apple’s Website and at their support page just provide the serial number of your phone and you will be able to know whether it is one with the affected battery or not.

Moment Camera case for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Moment

It was reported last month that Moment is going to launch an iPhone 6 camera case. The question was, will they also launch a camera case for iPhone 6 Plus? Well, if you were really hoping for one then you are lucky as moment confirmed that they will launch a camera case for iPhone 6 Plus as well. The company gave this confirmation via its Facebook page saying iPhone 6 Plus will come with a case of its own. However, the users of iPhone 6 Plus must also wait a bit is it will be launched in August not in June as opposed to iPhone 6 case.
They also mentioned that both iPhones will have separate backers, which means if you needed a iPhone 6 Plus case you will have to change your pledge to it in order to receive one. If not then you will be considered as backer of iPhone 6 and you will receive that one which is quite small.

According to a Survey 42% of iPhone Users Need to Manage Storage At Least Once in a Month

iPhone 16GB model

The 16GB model of iPhone is definitely the most selling model of all models and it is simply because it is the cheapest of them all. However, it also means you will have less space permanently as unlike Android, iPhone doesn’t actually come with microSD support. So if you choose 16GB model you are stuck with it permanently and only thing you can do is manage that space. Now the question is how often do you run out of storage and have to manage things? Well, according to a recent study, 42% of iPhone users find themselves out of storage at least once in a month.

The survey involved 1,000 candidates from both UK and the U.S and out of them 76% were actually using iPhone 16GB version. This might be the main reason why they are running out of space so quickly. Photos and apps actually do take quite a space so 16GB is not enough for many users. Out of these 42% iPhone users, 12% found themselves out of storage at least once a week and 8% have to manage space daily.

In the Last Quarter 50% of the US Smartphone Activations Involved iPhones Account

iPhone

iPhone is definitely one of the most high in demand handset. In a market such as South Korea Apple covers total of 33% of market, but the question is how it is doing back home? Well, in the US Apple is doing quite good according to the latest report from CIRP, 50% of the phones belong to Apple in the last quarter of 2014. According to Josh Lowitz, Partner and Co-Founder of CIRP, “The strength of the September 2014 launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus fueled Apple’s dominance in US mobile phone sales this quarter. Apple had virtually doubled the sales of Samsung, and five times that of LG. No other brand accounted for as much as 5% of US sales.”

Lowitz added, “The Amazon Fire and Blackberry smartphones registered slight share, which we attribute to random sample fluctuation as much as actual sales.” When it comes to loyalty, Apple was still the one with the most as 86% of iPhone users upgraded from one of their older models. Of course, these numbers are due to the release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release, so we will have to wait and see how it will do in the future.

Rumored iPhone 6s might Feature 2GB RAM

iPhone 6s

Currently, Rumors about iPhone 6s are bouncing everywhere – a Smartphone that is far from even existing and is said to feature Dual-Lens camera for optical zoom purposes. Now a rumor from Taiwan suggests that the iPhone 6s will also feature 2GB RAM instead of 1GB like its current devices. If it’s true, then Apple must be using the recent LPDDR4 technology, which will double the bandwidth pushing it at 34Gbps, also doing it without consuming any extra power. Currently, both iPhone 6 and 6 Plus comes with 1GB RAM using the old technology LPDDR3.

It should be noted that such technology also doesn’t come cheap, LPDDR4 will cost 35% more as compared to the old LPDDR3. Along with pricing issue, production of these chips will also be quite a problem, although Micron is largely responsible for the production of such chips. So it could be handle by it, but Apple will not be depending on them only as they have a history of assigning tasks to more than one manufacturer.

iPhone 6S might come with a Dual-Lens Camera for Optical zoom (Rumor)

iPhone 6S

Camera improvement is kind a compulsory now with every new iPhone. This is the reason why people are now expecting a camera improvement in iPhone 6S (if that is what Apple is going to call it) too. However, this time if those rumors are to be believed, these changes can be quite drastic. In the past, Apple just increased megapixel count and some algorithms, but now rumors claim that Apple iPhone 6S will feature a Dual-lens camera. If that happens, then there is a chance this will allow Optical zooming too. For improved low light performance, camera module will be changed too.

Apple’s camera has always performed quite well in low light due to wide apertures, but if all this happens we will see even better photos with reduced noise. Apple’s latest iPhone 6 Plus is already quite a big improvement as compared to iPhone 5S. It features optical image Stabilization, which everyone asked for and also if we take optical zoom rumors as true, then iPhone 6S might be everything what a photographer needs. However, it is still not confirmed yet by Apple, so it is better to take it with a grain of salt for now.

Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are now being listed as “In Stock” on Apple Website

iPhone

It was quite hard to get your hands on iPhone 6 in the past couple of months. You had to wait for weeks just to get the phone, of course it was not an issue if you didn’t mind waiting for a few weeks. However, by the end of the year, Apple did managed to improve the time and managed to get it down to as low as 1 business day. Well, if you are still looking to buy an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus then there is a good news for you. Now you will not have to wait for weeks to get your iPhone 6 as now Apple store is listing iPhone6 and iPhone 6 Plus, as “In Stock” and shipped just as you order. However, the SIM free version will still take 1 business day for the delivery.

1 day is also not that much of a long time to wait so even if you need a SIM free version it won’t be much of a hassle. It is not clear how they have managed to improve their shipping timing, but there is a chance Apple might have improved its production to fulfill customer need. There is also a chance that demand of iPhone 6 is fading now as new phones are arriving.

Meizu’s M1 Note is a cheap copy of iPhone 5c

Meizu’s M1 Note

Chinese smartphone makers are quite notorious for copying designs of big companies, but lately they are putting more effort in creating original designs. However, it seems Meizu still likes to play the old fashioned way. The company’s new phone Meizu M1 Note is identical to iPhone 5c and also comes in the same colors as iPhone 5c including pink, green, yellow, white and blue. It is Meizu’s cheapest phone yet with a price tag of CN¥999 (about $160). It is directly competing against same entry level phones by Huawei and Xiaomi. The phone is actually quite good value for its astounding price. It’s a Dual-SIM phone featuring a 5.5-inch IGZO display with a good 1080p resolution, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a beefy 3,140 mAh battery. It's  being powered by MediaTek's MT6752 chipset with an octa-core (Cortex-A53 1.7GHz x 8), 64-bit ready processor, a Mali T760 MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The M1 Note runs on Meizu's completely customized Flyme 4.1, based on Android 4.4.4.

Although, the phone is quite good, but still it lacks MicroSD expansion and a fingerprint reader. However, it should not make users complain as for such low price this kind of drawback is acceptable. The phone will be available in Chinese market soon unless Apple does something about stealing its design.

41% of U.S Phablet Sales Consist Of iPhone 6 Plus

iPhone 6 Plus

Smartphones which have relatively larger displays are called ‘Phablets.’ The iPhone line by Apple never reached this category before until this September when they launched iPhone 6 Plus. iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 5.5 inch screen which is why it comes in Phablet category and it also seems it is becoming quite popular in this category. According to Data from Kantar Worldpanel, iPhone 6 Plus accounts for 41% of total Phablets sales in the U.S. The fact that iPhone 6 Plus covers 41% of the phablet market is not the reason why this is interesting. Instead, what makes it interesting is that it has only been three months since it got launched and it already has covered 41% of the phablet market share. Especially when you put it against rivals who are already in this category for a long time.

According to a survey conducted by Kantar, 58% of people who bought iPhone 6 Plus bought it for its Larger display as compared to other iPhones. Because iPhone users always wanted a Larger display in iPhones and were anxiously waiting for it. 41% might be a big number in phablet category, but still iPhone 6 has the highest iPhone sale with 33% of the sales followed by iPhone 5s with 26% and after that iPhone 6 Plus comes with total 10% of iPhone sales in the three months.
